The prevalence of hypertension were higher 1.59 times in the highly depressive group than the normal group (95% CI = 1.01-2.49). The prevalence of diabetes were higher 2.01 times in high stress group (95% CI=1.22-3.31) and 2.68 times (95% CI=1.50-4.81) in the highly depressive group than normal group.
Conclusion: It is suggested to develop an integrated programs that can cope with mental problems such as stress and depression for the prevention and management of hypertension and diabetes for rural adults.
